Ed Day Wins Re-Election To Legislative District 5 (VIDEO)

Incumbent had no challenger

Ed Day returns to the county legislature after having received 3,201 vote according to the Board of Elections' unofficial results. The New City resident had no opponent as he sought his third term representing District 5.

"The county is in a crisis," said Day. "We're looking forward now to putting the county on the road to fiscal responsbility. And that's where those six people who represent this party, the people of this community, that's where this work is going to happen. And I'm proud to be part of that."

Day, 60, ran on the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Working Families tickets.
