Germonds Presbyterian Church in New City is celebrating its 150th year as a congregation on Sunday. The church, which holds a homecoming every year, expects Sunday to be something special. 

The "homecoming," as they call it, is their first service of the new school year. Everyone is back from vacation and back in school and the church holds a special first service or homecoming to welcome church members back from their respective summer adventures. 

Sunday, the 150th anniversary, will be much more than a typical homecoming. It will be a celebration of the church's longevity and spirit. The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and include the church's normal worship service, to be followed by all kinds of fun. A children's movie, karaoke, volleyball, frisbee and a rededication service at 3 p.m.
