It's just not Christmas for many without watching holiday classic films like "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart.

Today, you have a chance to see the film classic in a classic theater — The Lafayette in Suffern.

The Town of Ramapo is hosting a "Christmas Spectacular" today. The 11 a.m. show was sold out, but there are still tickets at the door for the 2:45 p.m. show.

The event features  caroling, holiday music played by a brass ensemble, special reading of the Night Before Christmas, guest appearance by Santa Claus, and the showing of "It's a Wonderful Life."

Ramapo seniors with passes can attend the second show free. Others can purchase tickets at Lafayette box office or at the door for $7. The theater is located at 97 Lafayette Ave., in downtown Suffern. There's free parking in the lot behind the theater.
