Spring Valley Man Charged WIth DWI On Route 59 in Nanuet

Police: Car stopped for moving erratically.

A Spring Valley man spotted driving erratically on Route 59 in Nanuet early Tuesday was charged with drunken driving, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Edgar Lemus-Salazar, 31, was stopped about 2:43 a.m. by a Sheriff's officer, who found that Lemus-Salazar was intoxicated. The Spring Valley man was taken to the Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and later released pending a March 28 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.

Lemus-Salazar was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and aggravated unlicenses operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
