Store Employee Accused In Thefts Totalling $394

Police: Nyack woman charged with setting up fake returns of store merchandise.

An employee of a Nanuet clothing store is charged with petty larceny in connection with the theft of $394 through fake returns of store merchandise, according to Clarkstown police.

Police said Marissa Brooks, 23, of Nyack was accused of theft on Wednesday at the Dots store, 44 Rockland Plaza, Nanuet. Police said Brooks is accused of processing $108, $176 and $110 worth of items over two days and pocketing the cash from phony transactions.

Brook was released pending an Aug. 26 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
