Mount Vernon And Bronx Residents Charged With Identity Theft

Bronx and Westchester residents charged by Clarkstown Police with identity theft, possession of stolen property, fraudulent credit cards and grand larceny

 

Clarkstown Police arrested Komi Kalefe, 22, of the Bronx and Gary Taylor, 26, of Mount Vernon on Monday night on a variety of felony charges including identity theft.   

Police report Kalefe and Taylor used fraudulent Visa credit cards to purchase more than $3,000 of merchandise and gift cards from Barnes & Noble and Target at the Palisades Center in West Nyack.  The police investigation found them in possession of four fraudulent credit cards.  Kalefe and Taylor were arrested and charged with identity theft 1st degree, four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, grand larceny 3rd degree and criminal possession of stolen property 3rd degree, all felonies.  They will be arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court.
