Vanderhoef Meets with County Leaders Statewide on Critical Issues
Sessions focus on challenges and opportunities facing counties
Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef joined colleagues from across the state in Albany to discuss critical issues facing county governments. Their discussions centered on federal, state and county budget deficits, the slow economy’s impact on unemployment, sales tax revenues and the urgency for state mandate relief.
Today, he will meet with other county leaders at the New York State County Executives’ Association where the focus will be on the long term financial pressures facing counties, as well as fiscal
projections that show out year budget deficits (on an aggregate statewide basis).
“Without meaningful mandate relief, counties face problematic out year budget deficits due to growing state mandated costs and flat revenue growth from the prolonged economic recession,” said Vanderhoef.
On Thursday, Vanderhoef, a member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Counties, participated in a discussion of 2012 spending plan actions and the need for Medicaid reform.

Vanderhoef is the most problematic obstacle to correcting Rockland County's budget problems. He has compounded his ineffective, inept and incompetent management of the county by surrounding himself with goons and cronies who are even more ineffective, inept and incompetent than he. They should stop embarrassing the county and leave.
