Chairman Wolfe Presents Equal Pay Day Proclamation to members of the AAUW L-R: Ann Mulligan, Toni Fallon and Linda Bern
Charles Clewsow April 2, 2014 at 04:35 pm
Wolfie, How about reducing our taxes to the average all taxpayers pay instead of huffing andRead More puffing up our taxes until our homes fall down?
Charles Clewsow April 2, 2014 at 04:37 pm
The big bad Wolf is at it again with another dam resolution while senior citizens are taxed toRead More death. This guy is unbelievable. That is all he does, resolution after resolution.

Thank you Mr. Carey and your fellow Legislator's for this proposal on the behalf of Rockland CountyRead More residents. How we need to put pressure on our State Assembly and Senate Representative's to advocate for us in Albany. However, the proposed toll for the New Tappan Zee Bridge of $14 is unconscionable and all pubic officials and residents of the lower Hudson Valley should fight this toll....for economic, social and quality of life issues .
Mike Hirsch March 22, 2014 at 10:17 am
We'll said Tony.
Kevin M March 22, 2014 at 08:57 pm
Nice job Mr. Carey...
Charles Clewsow March 21, 2014 at 06:05 pm
Another resolution with ZERO impact.
Gloria R. March 21, 2014 at 08:10 pm
I agree in principle but how much weight does the smallest second most indebted county in the stateRead More carry. never mind Barry is not even elected. i think we have become too accustomed to being represented by majority party interim appointees from opposite parties than the person they replace to even notice. the party whose member is being substituted for should select who it is

Nothing wrong with having better rules and oversight for a problem(s) but proposing an expansion ofRead More existing government bureaucracy to do the job of an already dysfunctional bureaucracy is laughable. Just what i would be expecting from a probable liberal career politician wanna be.
Mike Hirsch March 7, 2014 at 10:37 pm
Great idea Barry. So far you're batting 1000 with me. (Against the slaughterhouse and this). KeepRead More up the good work.
Watchdog March 8, 2014 at 07:55 am
I would like to hear or see some numbers. How many cases were prosecuted given the fact that ZugibeRead More got elected only AFTER the New Square BLOC switched their vote from Bongiorno to him. How much does it cost to prosecute, is it affective and how much do we get back? This could all be window dressing without the numbers.
Pat Godfrey March 12, 2014 at 12:54 pm
This is a big source of lost revenues for the state and Rockland county. How can we keep track of itRead More though? It is astronomical number every year we lose our tax money to fraud and nothing gets done about it. Will this make a difference? It's like putting a band aid on the titanic. It's the whole system that needs to be changed. Medicine which is literally life and death needs to be taken out of the governments hands. They are not suited nor equipped nor care to watch over such an integral part of everyone's life. Only answer is get government out of the healthcare business.
Mike Hirsch March 11, 2014 at 04:38 pm
Thank you to all the leaders of this effort.
AnnieRose March 12, 2014 at 11:44 am
vote them ALL out.
Pat Godfrey March 12, 2014 at 12:43 pm
Yes, please get rid of this ridiculous tax. Even more important is stop over spending.
Lawrence A Fisher March 6, 2014 at 07:22 pm
More busybody BS from our useless Legislature leaders! Fracking has been around for 70 years... yes,Read More its messy, noisy and dirty and should be done carefully and in remote areas, where the routine ,minor debris of massive industrial operations can be handled... Fracking is usually very safe...doesn't pollute the water( obviously unless there is a major accident) and expanding fracking into rural upstate NY should be a priority...good for the economy...creates high paying jobs...improves our energy security and independence... we do not need our ridiculous County Legislature sticking their useless noses into this!
Charles Clewsow March 6, 2014 at 09:38 pm
Legislator Wolfe, please stop this nonsense and get on with the business of reducing our outrageousRead More taxes, getting rid of the over 100 patronage jobs and start to stay something significant about the overbuilding in this County instead of grandstanding over issues over which you have no control and frankly little knowledge.
Watchdog March 7, 2014 at 02:13 pm
The County had just $42 ,000 left to py bills and this guy and Cornell are worried about Fracking.Read More Please Wolfe, stop Fracking the taxpayers.
Watchdog March 6, 2014 at 07:37 am
I agree entirely but Moroney should come out of the woodwork more than once a year taking aboutRead More issues that affect Rockland County and how he plans to support Ed Day as he works to right our ship.
Mike Hirsch February 27, 2014 at 02:19 pm
I assume Schoenberger is for the slaughterhouse, but one of his constituents should ask him at theRead More next legislative meeting just to be sure.
JLeo March 3, 2014 at 08:29 pm
Tens of thousands of dollars of contributions from a contractor. Can't imagine why he introducedRead More this legislation......Watch who shows up at the meeting.
Charles Clewsow February 27, 2014 at 10:51 am
Mike, one of the cornerstones of the recent election has been to increase Economic Development inRead More the County. We will fail in our objectives if we don't. Many have fought hard and long to get to this point where we have a new motivated and smart County Executive. It will all be for naught if we fail with Economic Development. All our well respected business including Ditullo, Hector May, Jan Deganschein realize we cannot achieve our Economic Development goals without an additional supply of water, supported by the PSC and the DEC. All studies point to the need for additional water supply. It is only some of these politicians who disagree but Mike look at the way this County and Town has been run by these very same politicians? Are we to trust Cornell, Schoenberger Fried, St Lawrence, Vanderhoef, Gromack etc etc or do we trust our business leaders and United Water, the PSC and DEC who have NEVER failed to deliver safe clean water to our homes. I ask you Mike....who has the better record? Who should we support? Who do you support?
Mike Hirsch February 27, 2014 at 03:46 pm
Charles, I watched the videos. They really didn't tell me much. While I like and generally agreeRead More with Jan and Al, I don't in this case. I think the PSC is in bed with United Water and don't trust their studies. Some jobs will be created, but all of us will have to pay for them. Let's just agree to disagree on this one.
Charles Clewsow February 27, 2014 at 04:23 pm
OK Mike, but if the PSC was in bed with UW, Desal would have already been approved. It just is notRead More the case.
Defender February 24, 2014 at 03:08 pm
Isn't it Meredith now, not Charlie?
Lanimilbus February 24, 2014 at 11:33 pm
Charles, Preserve isn't a real political party. No one is registered to vote as PreserveRead More Ramapo/Rockland - most, particularly in Ramapo, are registered Democrats. If anything, it's further proof of what needs to be changed. If you're a Republican, run as a Republican. If you're a Democrat, run as a Democrat. No candidate should have more than ballot line - Democrat or Republican, Conservative or Liberal. The ability to have the nomination of multiple parties is what gives us Gromack and St. Lawrence. Rent is Too Damn High is more of a political party than Preserve - they at least have members who aren't committee members in other political parties.
Mike Hirsch February 25, 2014 at 02:29 pm
Yes Charlie, it is. Thank you. David Carlucci went on record publicly today that he is opposed toRead More the slaughterhouse. Alden Wolfe, are you prepared to join your fellow Democrats Zebrowski, Carlucci and Gromack and Phillips in opposition or do you intend to remain silent?
