Bloody TV A person walking the path of the Greenrock property, the organization that maintains the Rockefeller Estate, on Sleepy Hollow Road spotted something unusual -- a TV with blood on it. Trio Allegedly Steals from Drop Box Three Long Island men were arrested after being observed and videotaped taking items from a Bedford drop-box. Two of the men allegedly lowered the third man into the box to retreive items. Police located the men in Mt. Unlicensed Home Improvement Contractor Bedford police arrested Mark Cooper of Port Jervis, NY for soliciting home improvement jobs without a proper license and peddling without a license. Woman Charged in Katonah Thefts Bedford police arrested a woman who allegedly stole snacks, jewelry and wine from three separate retail shops in Katonah on April 3. Noka Joe's employees reported the woman removed items without paying for them and police later found her bag with a cookie, juice and jewelry taken from Noka's and from Sweetooth Katonah. After taking her description, police found her at Katonah Wine and Liquors, where they say she became physically combative and resisted communicating with police. Mom-and-Pop Stores Part Of Illegal Gambling Ring One-hundred Rockland County police officers worked to uncover an illegal gambling ring known as "Dominican Lottery" that operated out of 18 businesses, including mom-and-pop stores. Called "Operation Big Splash," the bust netted more than $130,000 in cash and 32 arrests. Police described the lottery game as akin to New York's Pick 3 Lottery; players could win up to $600 with a $1 investment. Potentially Explosive Device Discovered in Mount Pleasant A male jogger discovered what appeared to be a small bomb on the North County Trailway bike path in Mont Pleasant. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety confirmed that the device has the potential to explode. The bomb squad deactivated and removed the device from the path. Toddler Walks Quarter-Mile Alone Carmel police dispatcher Robert Lewandowski stopped a diaper-clad toddler from entering Croton Falls Road as cars approached, reports LoHud. The incident occurred across the street from police headquarters after an ex-Cub Scout named Kian Bell, who was at the station with his mom, saw what he thought was a man approaching the street and pointed out the figure to his mother. Homeless Ossining Man Sues Eminem Stephen Lee Pieck, a homeless Ossining man, is suing hip-hop artist Eminem for $9 million, reports AllHipHop.com. Pieck claims he was in White Plain's Legal Seafood restaurant with pop star Christina Aguilera and her husband Sep. 9, 2010 when Aguilera put him on the phone with Eminem. Brothers Allegedly Steal Storm Drain Grates and Scrap Metal Three Harrison brothers face misdemeanor charges for allegedly stealing storm drain grates and scrap metal over the last two months. Area scrap metal yards value the grates at approximately $50. State Troopers Hit Pedestrians State trooper Gregory Panzarella, an investigator, was on duty when he struck Jeronimo Ardon Perez, a 50-year-old Mount Kisco man, while he was crossing between Brookside Avenue and the American Legion hall. Homeless Man Can't Foot $200 Taxi Bill to Yorktown A homeless man allegedly took a cab from Manhattan to Yorktown and could not pay for the ride. Alexander P. Cameron, 57, was charged with theft of services, a misdemeanor. Cameron was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $250 cash or $500 bond.
