Attend A Concert, Understand Addiction

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch. 

1)   Events: The annual winter concert by the Clarkstown High School North Orchestra and Choir begins at 7 p.m. at the high school. There will be a special performance of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus featuring North alumni from 1996 through 2012. Admission to the concert is free. More details can be found here.

2)   Events: Understand how to help a family member or friend battling addiction. The presentation/discussion at 7 p.m. at Temple Beth Torah in Upper Nyack will cover the pitfalls/traps awaiting concerned people trying to help an addicted person. The presenters are Dr. Steve Levy, psychologist, and Paul Maide, CASAC. Find details of the program here
