When Fashion Week stops in Westchester County, it will honor New City resident Verena Frydberg for her contributions to the multiple sclerosis movement. At the 7th Annual Women on the Move Luncheon on Wednesday, September 12, approximately 24 men and women living with multiple sclerosis will take to the runway wearing high fashion looks by Bloomingdale's in an effort to raise funds for the New York City - Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society.
Verena, a mom of two and the founder of Makeover Your MS, has been living with MS since 2001, and is using her diagnosis to empower other women living with the diesease. Her organization, Makeover Your MS, provides beauty workshops and events that address the challenges of daily grooming and teach women about makeup techniques catered to the special needs of those experiencing common MS symptoms.
