The death of a loved one can be a most difficult time. We are offering several types of bereavement groups at United Hospice of Rockland Provident Bank Hope and Healing Center, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956. The focus of these groups is to work through the intense feelings that usually accompany the death of a loved one, to learn about loss and the grieving process and to offer and receive support and understanding.
For those who have had a loss of a spouse or significant other, the groups will meet:
Monday, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. *
Monday, from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. *
And will continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
Tuesday from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.*
And will continue to meet 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month
Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.*
And will continue to meet 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month
For those who have had a loss of a parent or sibling, the group will meet:
Tuesday from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.*
And will continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month
For all types of losses we will be offering a weekend support group:
Saturday, 10:00 A.M. – 11: 30 A.M.*
This group will continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month

The following groups are available on an ongoing basis and require no registration:
¨ UHR Child Loss Group called Our Kids meets the 3rd Thursday and the 1st Wednesday of the month 6:30 to 8 P.M.
¨ The Stepping Out Group is for those who have done the grief work and would like to socialize with others in similar situations. We will meet the 2nd Friday of the month from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
Healing Hearts for children 3 ½ to 18 and their surviving parent or guardian meets on the second and fourth and first and third Wednesdays of the month from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on an ongoing basis for the school calendar. (You must call for a registration packet.)
We ask for a $100 fee per 10 sessions for non hospice families to help support the bereavement program
However, no one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay
