The United Water Employee’s Auto Group recently held their 13th Annual Benefit Car Show on the grounds of their headquarters in West Nyack. Over one hundred owners of antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles displayed their vehicles and competed for trophies in different event classes. All proceeds were donated to Camp Venture, a non-profit organization that serves individuals and their families with developmental disabilities in Rockland County. Camp Venture received a check for $9,000.
“United Water employees have been planning, hosting, and volunteering for the benefit car show for 13 years now” said Michael Pointing, the company’s vice president and general manager. “This is an important way for United Water to give back to the community while showing support for Camp Venture and their role in serving the less fortunate in our community.”
Over the years, the United Water Benefit Car Show has raised over $65,000 for Camp Venture. Peter J. Curtin, development director of the Venture Foundation, was on hand to receive their generous 2012 contribution in a small ceremony held at United Water headquarters.
