"The Golden Stitchers" who knit items for hospitalized veterans need donations of yarn. The group of Rockland County senior citizens donate their time and efforts to knitting blankets, hats, scarves, mittens and walker bags for hospitalized veterans. They are running low on supplies and are turning to the public to aid in their efforts.
Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) has offered his office as a drop-off location for residents to donate yarn. Unwanted yarn can be brought to Carlucci’s office, located at 95 South Middletown Road in Nanuet, during normal business hours. All collected materials will then be donated to “The Golden Stitchers” so they can continue helping veterans in need.
