Cicadas Appear in West Nyack

The morning, high-pitched hum of the cicadas gets louder when approaching Jill Drive. These bugs are big and ugly and yet the intricate patterns of their new, white wings are beautiful. The whole process of metamorphosis is quite amazing. Thankfully, we have not seen swarms of these 1 1/2-2 inch long insects flying around.
