#HonoringVets on #VeteransDay & Every Day!

Rockland County Legislator John Murphy invited US Senator Charles Schumer to speak at the Grand Opening of Homes for Heroes, which was built for our disabled and displaced Veterans. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at Homes for Heroes on Sunday, November 10th on the former Camp Shanks in Tappan, NY. The focus of the day was to honor our Veterans and the huge cadre of volunteers who came together to make this day possible. Senator Schumer, who was instrumental in procuring federal funding to get our project off the ground, did the honors of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He was joined by our volunteer team leaders, for Homes for Heroes was truly built on the love and labor of all our volunteers.
