Jawonio will host their 4th Annual Regional Legislative Town Hall with Senator David Carlucci, Chairman, Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committe, NYS Senate; Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee and Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski, both members of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee NYS Assembly to discuss the impact of Governor Cuomo's budget proposal 2014(announced 1/21/2014) on people with developmental disabilities, special education, mental health and related issues affecting families and individuals in Rockland and the Lower Hudson Valley.

Much of the preparation by agencies and groups around the state have asked that their constituencies sign www.honoringthepromise.org a cause related petition asking the Governor to honor the moral obligation to support people with disabilities and special needs as it states in the NY State Constitution.
