Local Restaurants Participate in Dine Out For Hunger Rockland
The Rockland Community Against Hunger (RCAH) is proud to announce Dine Out For Hunger Rockland 2013. During the month of September (Hunger Awareness Month), participating restaurants in Rockland County will donate ten percent of “Dine Out” proceeds to local food pantries and feeding programs.
Restaurants participating in Dine Out For Hunger Rockland include American Burrito Restaurant in New City, Avanti Restaurant in Pomona, Bubbas Bagels in Wesley Hills, Character’s Restaurant in Sloatsburg, daNina Restaurant in Suffern, Marcello Restaurant in Suffern, New City Pizza in New City, Ravi Restaurant in Suffern and Rocco’s Italian Cuisine & Pizza in New City. Food pantries and feeding programs benefitting from Dine Out proceeds include Christ Church of Ramapo Feeding Program, Rockland Independent Living Center, Rockland Interfaith Breakfast Program, Sloatsburg United Methodist Church Food Pantry and TOUCH-NY, Inc. These organizations provide a critical service to thousands of Rockland residents who suffer from food insecurity. In fact, over 200,000 meals are served every month by food pantries and feeding programs in Rockland County.
