Nanuet Chamber of Commerce Hosts First Street Fair

The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce will host the Town’s first street fair on Sunday, June 8th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Over 100 vendors are expected to participate by taking a spot along Main Street from the entrance to Stop & Shop down to Prospect Street.  Vendor spaces are still available. The event will be the first of its kind in the town and will be similar to the Street Fair held in New City.

“We are thrilled to be hosting an event of this kind! It will give the business owners in Nanuet and neighboring towns an opportunity to showcase their products and services to thousands of people from around the County and we expect we will also draw folks from Bergen County,” stated Risa Hoag, President of the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce. In addition to local businesses, there will be food vendors and a wide variety of entertainment throughout the day as well as a separate section with rides and activities for kids.

Entertainment will include an opening flag ceremony by Nanuet Boy Scout Troop 33, live DJ all day, Part of Five, an Accapella DooWop group, performances by Dance Central, Bit o’ Rhythm Marimba and Steel Drum Band and local Nanuet talent! There is no charge for admission to the street fair.

“Chamber Board members Susan Farese and Joe Brunelli have been working closely with Alex Gromack and the Town of Clarkstown to ensure that every detail is taken care of and Clarkstown has bent over backwards to ensure that our first event is a big success, we are very grateful for their support,” added Hoag.

Vendor spots are still available and Chamber members receive a discount on space reservations. There are also many sponsorship opportunities available including placement on the fair T-shirts for only $100 which is a great way for a local business to show their support. Any business can join the Chamber by visiting www.nanuetchamber.com and signing up for membership which is $125 per year. Residents can also join for $25 each year.
