Nanuet Lions Club - Fifty Fifth Charter Anniversary

​The Nanuet Lions Club celebrated their 55th   Charter Anniversary by announcing the formation of the  Rockland  Regional Branch Club.  PDG  Ray Icobelli  inducted the  Charter members,   and   praised the   efforts of DG Barbara Chuck and  Nanuet Lion Dr. Stephen Buckley  to build  a new club in R1.    The  branch  club will be attached to Nanuet Lions , and Lion   Stephen will serve  as  mentor/liaison/guide/sherpa  for the new club.     PDG  Michael Bryceland  inducted the Nanuet officers.
DG  Barbara  also announced  the formation of the Hudson Valley Blazin' Leos Club,  who will have their formal chartering Thursday night,  May 29, at  Palisades Mall. 
​Rockland County Legislative Chair Harriet Cornell was the keynote speaker.      Rockland Legislator,  Nanuet Lion, and incoming  Nanuet Lion President Aney Paul was also on hand for the celebration.       Clarkstown Supervisor ALEX  GROMACK  also  extended  personal  congratulations.
Susan LaVenture, Executive Director  of National Association for Parents of Children with Visual Impairments,  spoke on issues facing parents of visually  impaired children.    NAPVI.     Jazz vocalist    Shirley Crabbe  performed.
ZC  Craig Celander and ZC  Gerry  Jamiesson received Melvin Jones awards.
