NEW CITY CHIROPRACTIC CENTER PRESENTS FUNDRAISING DONATION TO LOCAL CHAPTER OF MS SOCIETY

On Saturday June 15th, Dr. Michael Cocilovo and Dr. Gil Rodriguez presented the local Chapter of the MS Society with an oversized check representing the money raised through their participation in the recent Spartan Race in Tuxedo. New City Chiropractic Center organized a team of 11 people to participate in the difficult obstacle course specifically to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. While the check is for $8,000 the total amount raised is at $9,467. Additional donations can be made by visiting http://bit.ly/gladiators-for-ms.

“The race itself and the obstacles were much harder than we anticipated but nothing compared to the challenges faced each and every day by those afflicted with MS,” stated Dr. Michael Cocilovo, organizer of the Gladiator team. Dr. Cocilovo’s older brother Vincent was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 25 years ago and so the cause is one that is close to his heart. In addition, his practice treats many individuals who suffer from MS including Richard Fernandez (pictured accepting the check) whose wife Nancy was part of the Gladiator team and raised over $4,500.
