NYC PBA Endorses Day

Endorsement brings total to over 100,000 law enforcement & public servants for DAY

New City - Ed Day, candidate for Rockland County Executive, today announced that he has been endorsed by the New York City Patrolman's Benevolent Association (PBA). The PBA represents nearly 50,000 active and retired members.

PBA President Patrick Lynch cited Days "proven track record and commitment" as reason for the endorsement.

"As police officers who face, every day, the chance that we might be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice, the members of the PBA will be honored to have you representing our members," Lynch said.

"I am very proud to have the endorsement of the PBA and like all groups, organizations and individuals who have shown their support for my campaign for County Executive, they know that I will be a strong voice for them on every issue in Rockland. On fixing our economy, solving our budget problems, public safety and fighting corruption, I will always stand with the people of Rockland," Day said.

The PBA endorsement, when added to previous endorsement for Day by the Lieutenants Benevolent Association, Sergeants Benevolent Association, Detective Endowment Association, National Latino Officers Association and the Emerald Society brings the grand total to over 100,000 members of law enforcement and other public servants standing with Day in his bid for Rockland County Executive.
