Pataki Endorses Ed Day for County Executive

"Ed Day is the Leader Rockland County Needs"

New York, NY - Former New York Governor George E. Pataki today endorsed Ed Day for Rockland County Executive.

"I am proud to endorse Ed Day for Rockland County Executive. Ed has advanced an innovative agenda to promote the job creation and economic growth that Rockland County desperately needs to move forward," said Pataki.

Governor Pataki has a long record of service in Rockland County, not only as Governor but also proudly representing parts of the county while serving in the State Assembly. Throughout Pataki's three terms as Governor and as a member of the State Legislature, he consistently posted excellent returns in Rockland County.

Ed Day said, "I am honored that Governor Pataki has endorsed our campaign for County Executive. In 2006 when the Governor left office, Rockland had the lowest unemployment in a generation, we need to get back to those levels and as County Executive I will work tirelessly to reach that goal."

Added Pataki, "Whether it's promoting private sector job creation or getting Rockland's budget under control, Ed Day has the leadership and ideas to make it happen. We need him as our next County Executive in Rockland County."
