Apparently, an attempt at again deceiving the voters of Rockland County is breaking your way.
So as not to ruin the element of surprise and cause them to edit their spin, an unnamed Rockland Legislator, has been bragging, while swearing friends to secrecy, not to tell, he has been recording conversations with other politicos without their knowledge.
What we can say with full authority is, the objective was not to expose the cess- pool of corruption in this county among his peers.
No, here is how the thought bubbles would read above his head:
1. Since the FBI swooped down and arrested, among others Jay Savino, who may or may not be cooperating with authorities, inspired the genius idea of recording others, as cover for himself, as an alibi to say.."Look at me, cleaning up the corruption in my own private investigation."
2. "Look at me, I went to the FBI with all of these tapes, on all of these politicos, except I did not have any recordings of the guys, who are the real target of the FBI investigation. I only have tapes of every body else. I even have a candidate who is rumored to have mocked the intelligence of man described by his Jewish faith, adding; they're only good at getting coffee."
3. "I can now use this because; "I have bigger plans" and I am so much smarter than all of the voters in Rockland County, that they would fall for this ploy, hook, line and sinker, and elect me over honest people. Boy, I can't wait to have this press conference and pull the wool over the eyes of all these fools."
4. "I won't worry about hanging out in Monsey, because they aren't smart enough to have tape-recorders too. I mean, look at that guy they own in Ramapo Town Hall."
Or words to that effect. You heard it here first. Shhh.. don't tell anybody and ruin the surprise, ok?
You just can't make this stuff up! It would be comedy, if so much were not so seriously at stake.
