The boil water order issued on Saturday, Dec. 29 for Calvary Drive Units 1 through 24 and 780 North Main Street was lifted Wednesday afternoon. It is no longer necessary for customers in this area to boil their water for drinking or cooking. About 300 customers were under the boil water directive for the past few days.
Customers were ordered to boil water as a precautionary measure while United Water emergency crews restored water service and water quality tests were performed following a water main break. Lab results on Wednesday indicated the water meets all safe drinking water standards.
"We recognize that a boil water order is an inconvenience to our customers and we thank them for their patience during this time," said Michael Pointing, vice president and general manager of United Water.
