Good Times Ahead At Sunday Street Fair

New City Street Fair takes over South Main Street on Sunday

 

South Main Street in New City turns into a pedestrian’s paradise on Sunday during this year’s second street fair.  Fun is in the forecast for the area’s youngest residents with pony rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo and carnival rides. More than 100 craft and food vendors, the Rockland Rodders’ classic car display and entertainment will keep adults happy as well. 

The street fair will extends along South Main Street from Congers Road to Second Avenue with a possibility of being expanded to Third Street if vendors keep signing up.

Clarkstown’s snowmobile stage will be located in the connected parking lots of strip shopping centers with 100 chairs available for spectators to relax and enjoy the music of the Bel Aires and a DJ plus watch jugglers and magicians perform. 

 A video game van and arcade game booths will be set up.

The fair begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m., rain or shine. The New City Chamber of Commerce is organizing the street fair.

It is the group’s third year of street fairs and the second year the event has been on South Main Street. Heavy rains caused the to end early.
