Pep Rally
Where/When: Zukor Park, North Main Street, New City, Thursday, August 4, 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Show your New City spirit! Cheer on the New City Little League 11-12 Year Old All Stars. The East Coast Regional Champions are on their way to play in the Little League World Series. Join the pep rally.

Why Go: There will be a bouncy house, arcade games, and an outdoor screening of Rango!

Family Friendly Walk
Where/When: Demarest Kill Park, New Hempstead Road, New City, Saturday, August 6, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Why Go: Get out, exercise, meet some neighbors and enjoy the park. Guided half mile walk, scavenger hunt, bark rubbings, nature games, coloring activities, clown and prizes

Home Aides Swap-O-Rama-Rama
Where/When: Germonds Neighborhood Church, 39 Germonds Road, New City, Saturday, August 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Bring unwanted clothing and accessories and pick out “new” items. Learn how to recycle used clothing creatively. Event benefits the Home Aides of Rockland.

Second Annual Chance Cosgrove Golf Outing
When/Where: Rockland Country Club at 380 Route 9W, Sparkill, Monday, August 8. Day begins with registration at 10:30 a.m. and Tee-off at 12:30 p.m.
Why Go: Family can participate in this event too! Rockland Country Club’s Olympic-size pool will be open during the day (all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian). BBQ lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. While the golfers hit the links, families can soak up the sun and listen to music by the pool: all this and more for just $30 per person. Dinner at the Club for non-players will be $100 per adult and $45 per youth; kids may order an a la carte dinner for $20. Price/Contact: The cost is $250 per adult ($175 for kids 12 and under). This price includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, a riding cart, lunch, gift package for each player, banquet dinner and various awards.
