Nanuet Business Demos New Technology

The Hub in Nanuet has a unique front window with a 50-inch touchscreen pc that the public can use.

"It's a full computer," said co-owner Michael Paine. "Whatever you can do on your computer you can do on the screen."

Paine and his business partner Anthony Conte are demonstrating the technology which they said can be used by businesses to promote sales, display menus, show movie listings and serve as a community bulletin board.

The screen is not affected by rain or cold.

According to Conte, "It works wonderfully at night."

Paine said in the short time the scree has been up people have been using it to check email, surf the Internet and play games. He said pedestrians have not been the only ones to stop at the Main Street store but he has seen drivers spot it and park their cars to check it out.
