The New City Library Board of Trustees is expected to appoint an interim library director at tonight’s meeting. Executive Director ’s last day was Friday, May 4. Marianne Silver, the adult reference supervisor, has been serving as interim director until the board meeting.
A majority of board members voted against renewing McMorran’s contract earlier this year. His current four-year contract would have ended in August.
The board’s is on the agenda for discussion along with the new director search committee. Updates are expected from the Building and Grounds Committee regarding furniture in the children’s section and the liaison to the Friends of the New City Library.
Other listed agenda items are: motion to provide Book Sale money and New City Library Resolution Fiscal Year 2013 Tax Advance. The board meets at 7 p.m.
