Play Soccer And Raise Money for Hurricane Sandy Relief

$10 for two hours of open soccer play raises money for American Red Cross

Members of the Clarkstown Soccer Club put together a recreational soccer program for today, Thursday, Nov. 1 to get kids out of the house and moving and to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Club member Alissa Carelli said with school being cancelled, they wanted to give kids a chance to burn off some of their energy while having fun.

The fundraiser goes from 3 to 5 p.m. at Westrock Indoor Sports at 21 Pralle Lane in Nanuet, which is donating the space.  A $10 contribution per family is requested and the money will go to the American Red Cross for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  The combination skills training and open soccer play is for children and adolescents of all ages.

Those attending should wear sneakers or soccer cleats, shin guards and bring a water bottle and a soccer ball if they have one. Carelli said people can show up or they email fundraiser@cscsoccer.org if they know for certain they will be attending.
