Staffer Recognized For Forty Under 40 Award

New City Library board updates expected on trustee candidate process, new director search status and fiscal year 2014 budget

 

Gail Seidenfrau, head of Circulation Services at the New City Library, will speak to the board about her department’s programs and services at Thursday’s meeting. The board will recognize library employee Veronica Reynolds for being selected as a member of the 2012 Forty Under 40 program.

The Personnel and Finance Committee will report on the status of the 2014 fiscal year budget and the New Director Search Committee will give an update on its outreach efforts.

Board members are expected to discuss formation of a nominating committee for trustee candidates for the library board. Applications for trustee had a deadline of 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19.  Three trustee seats are up for election. One seat is currently vacant.  Aney Paul resigned in August. Terri Thal and Edward Kallen hold the other two seats and have not yet announced their decisions on seeking re-election.

The library board of trustees meets at 7 p.m.
