Easter is this Sunday, marking the day Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Some of the more well-known, and kid friendly, traditions on Easter include painting Easter eggs, as well as scavenger hunts to find those eggs. Many families have also stopped by to visit with the Easter Bunny leading up to the holiday, as well. It’s also a holiday when many eat sweets as well.
Rev. Charles Arlin, of St. John’s Episcopal Church in New City, said his church’s Easter service is a very joyful one, featuring lots of music. He said both Easter Sunday services end with the choir singing the “Hallelujah Chorus.”
