Warming Centers Opened For Cold Spell

With the coldest weather in 20 years now in Rockland, the county announced the warming centers have opened for residents.

Town and village websites can be checked for updated information on the following locations and hours of availability.

The community room on the fourth floor of the Palisades Center in West Nyack is open for Clarkstown residents 

Orangetown Town Hall in Orangeburg is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Orangetown Police Department’s community room is open 24 hours/seven days a week.

Nyack Village Hall is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nyack Senior Center is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

South Nyack Village Hall is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Piermont Village Hall is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Piermont Fire Department is open 24 hours/seven days a week. 

Ramapo Town Hall is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Suffern Village Hall is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Airmont Village Hall is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Haverstraw Town Hall is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Haverstraw Village Community Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stony Point community Center in the RHO Building is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m./seven days a week.

Stony Point Police Department is open 24 hours/seven days a week.

Spring Valley Village Hall is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
