36th Annual Miniature, Dollhouse and Art Exhibition

The Historical Society of Rockland County proudly announces the return of the ever-popular annual exhibition: The 36th Annual Miniature, Dollhouse & Art Exhibition. 

This exhibition runs through Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 -- regular exhibition hours: Wednesday - Sunday, Noon to 4 p.m.

Admission for this fund-raising exhibition is: 
Adults: $ 7.
Seniors, children ages 3-12 & HSRC Members: $3.
Children under 3: Free

For the 2011-2012 exhibition, we are celebrating the creativity of miniatures, dollhouses & art. We are very proud to have the handmade dollhouses created over this past summer at the wonderful Rockland Center for the Arts. Given by educator Daly Flanagan and artist Andre Voumard, we will showcase pieces made by: Susan LangoneEthan Canter, Kersten SavageCate IevolellaMolly IevolellaLily Rose Weber andJuliana Pekak. Come and see how "found objects" become art!

In keeping with this year's celebration of creativity, we are very proud to have these talented contributors to this highly anticipated show, including well-known Rockland artists:  - ceramic artist Rosemary Aiello
- artist, children's book illustrator & author  Barbara Soloff Levy
- glass artist Stephanie Maddelena
- miniaturist Carolyn McErlean
- miniaturist Zsuzsa Neff
- children's book illustrator & author Elizabeth Sayles - mobile artist Andre Voumard   and regional contributors, including:   - room box & miniature artist Sandra Mirque
- miniaturist Tamara Greeman
- collage artist Elizabeth Parsons
- doll artist Lillian Alberti
  And once again this year, we'll have the beautiful art quilts made by Mary Jane Sexton, Debbie Calyo and other members of their quilting club. These very talented ladies have also crafted a beautiful quilt which will be raffled off to benefit The Historical Society of Rockland County!

The Curator for the annual miniature, dollhouse & art exhibition is the HSRC's own Joanne Potanovic.

This exhibition will be open on Friday, Nov. 25, Saturday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 27 from noon to 4 p.m.
