Italian Heritage and Culture Month Concert

The Piermont Sons of Italy/Loggia Giovanni da Verrazzano No. 1236 invite you to attend a free Italian Heritage and Culture Month Concert featuring the Yonkers Concert Band. The program will include the Symphonic March "Donatella", "Funiculi, Funicula", and the overture to La Gazza Ladra by Rossini. Special selections include the debut of "Italian Suite" by former band member Pasquale Pistone, and "Inno di Garibaldi", in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the re-unification of Italy and everyone's favorite, the Band’s signature piece: a unique sing-along of twelve Neapolitan songs with words provided to the audience. Joining the band will be soprano Jennifer S. Greene and tenor Dale Smith who will perform arias from La Traviata and Aida and a duet from La Traviata.  The program will start at 7:30 PM and will be held at Tappan Zee High School, 15 Dutch Hill Road in Orangeburg. Admission is Free.
