The Jewish Federation of Rockland County Launches New Campaign Year with Performance by Famed Mentalist Sidney Friedman

For Immediate Release (September 19, 2012) The Jewish Federation of Rockland County will be holding their annual Campaign Launch Party on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6:45pm-10:00pm at the Rockland Jewish Community Campus in West Nyack. The event is in support of the Federation’s annual campaign, which raises money to fund and support a local and worldwide network of organizations that care for people in need here in Rockland, in Israel and around the world.
A highlight of the evening will be a performance by “mentalist to the stars” (Chicago Tribune), Sidney Friedman, who will read minds, perform ESP, telepathy and premonition. Friedman has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s The View, and CBS’s The Early Show, and performs year-round for thousands of people across the country.
“The annual campaign is a vital part of our fundraising program,” says Federation President Nat Wasserstein. “Without donations from generous and caring members of our community, we would not be able to give grants to organizations in Rockland and abroad that provide impactful programs and services for those in need.”
The evening will also honor the memory of longtime Federation board member and past president, Barbara Weiner, with the dedication of a hand-crafted pergola arching a community garden.
