Reuben Gittelman Hebrew Day School’s Sukkot Festival

The Reuben Gittelman Hebrew Day School (RGHDS) will host a Sukkot Festival on September 26, 2010, at its New City campus. The event will take place from 3:30pm through 5:30pm.

The festival will commemorate the harvest festival of Sukkot and feature activities for children of all ages, including carnival games, crafts, face painting and more. Guests will also enjoy tasty treats in the community sukkah, a handmade hut that typically contains harvest, Jewish or autumnal themes.

The event is the first of many that are part of an initiative spearheaded by the Jewish Federation of Rockland County. The Federation has brought together several organizations, including RGHDS, the Jewish Community Center of Rockland and six of Rockland County's synagogues, in an effort to unite the various Jewish organizations throughout the area to create one large, collaborative community.
