Singer Songwriter LINDA McRAE At The Borderline

Hi Folk Music Fans,

Sunday, October 14th is a very special day for me and marks a milestone in my life. It is my 70th birthday which marks my official entry into what they call the "Golden Age", and I am inviting all of you out there to come and celebrate it with me.  It will take place at 2:00 PM at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps, located at 200 - Congers Road, New City, NY 10956.

For this special occasion we have brought in Linda McRae, a phenomenal singer/songwriter all the way from British Columbia in western Canada.  Linda is also a multi instrumentalist and has numerous musical talents.

Her lyrics are honest, penetrating, witty, and can also be funny at times.  They are played in a unique style that can be described as folky with a tinge of bluegrass.  Recently she has followed  in the steps of the late, great, Johnny Cash and played a gig at California's famous Folsom Prison.  She will have a lot of interesting stories to tell about that performance.

Opening the show will be singer/songwriter Pat Lamanna from Poughkeepsie, NY.  Pat has been a regular performer throughout the Hudson Valley for many years and is a member of the Beacon Sloop Club.  She writes songs about everyday life and modern day social issues.  You will enjoy her immensely.
