“Super Tuesday” Pricing Begins At New City Cinemas

Bow Tie Cinemas, the new owner of New City Cinemas, introduces “Super Tuesday” pricing beginning on July 2 at the former Clearview Cinema six-screen theater. Bow Tie recently announced other reduced admission prices and special offers. 

Tickets on Bow Tie’s signature “Super Tuesday” cost $6 for 2D movies all day for everyone, who has signed up for its free Criterion Club™ Loyalty Rewards Program. However, 3D movies will cost $8 on Super Tuesdays.

Other discounts include senior citizen tickets costing $2 less on weekends and $4.50 less on weekdays for 2D movies. Ticket prices can be found here

Another promotion is the Free Kids Summer Film Series beginning at the South Main Street theater at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 11. The series runs for seven weeks and includes screenings of “Hotel Transylvania,” “The Pirates” and “The Lorax” among other films. Admission will be on a first come first serve basis and will be limited. 

Bow Tie Cinemas plans to introduce its “Family Four Pack.” With the promotion a family of four can get admission tickets, popcorn and soda and possibly save up to $14 depending on what time of day they attend.

Renovations are expected for the theater including installation of 100 percent digital and Dolby Digital Sound Surround but no specific details or schedules have been released. The theater’s marquee still reads Clearview Cinemas.

Bow Tie Cinemas is a four-generation family-owned entertainment business founded in 1900 by industry pioneer B.S. Moss.  Bow Tie Cinemas owns and operates 388 screens in 63 locations in seven states. Its acquisition of Clearview Cinemas was announced in late April.
