New City Locations To Watch The Super Bowl

Specials at some local bars during the big game

Super Bowl Sunday brings about numerous questions, from which team will win to what songs will Beyonce perform at halftime, but there’s one even more important question:

Where and what are you going to eat during the game?

In New City, a number of local bars have specials going on Sunday during the game. Some of those local bars offering specials include:

The Castle Inn has a number of drink and food specials on Sunday, including Budweiser pints for $2, Budweiser’s new brown beer for $3, Bud Light pints and bottles for $3, and $1 hot dogs and tacos. There are also plenty of shot specials as well.

CB Kitchen Bar

Those in favor of fun-colored shots should hope for a high-scoring affair if you’re heading to CB Kitchen Bar. The bar will hand out red shots for each score by the San Francisco 49ers and purple shots for each score by the Baltimore Ravens. The bar will also have half-off drink specials at halftime. Also during the half, they’ll put out finger foods, including a six-foot hero, sliders and more.

This pub is offering a number of drink and food specials, including 50-cent wings, 99-cent tacos $1.50 sliders and $2 domestic drafts.

For those looking to stay home on Sunday, American Burrito is offering a bunch of catering options, including trays of mini tacos, burritos and more. They ask any catering orders be placed by the end of the day Saturday, when the restaurant closes at 10 p.m.

Dave & Buster’s
4661 Palisades Center Drive, West Nyack
348-6006

For those looking to venture outside of New City, Dave & Buster’s at the Palisades Mall has a family-friendly event going on inside the location’s Showroom. Not only will people get to watch the game on their big theater screen, they’ll also have access to a private bar and reserved tables for the group. Reservations are required and the cost is $20.99 per person. The package includes a chef-crafted buffet that includes nachos, pizza bits, boneless buffalo wings, burgers, fresh vegetables and a build-your-own-hot dog station. The reservation also includes unlimited soda and drink specials, including $2.50 pints. Prizes will be given away throughout the day as well.

So, this Sunday what’re your plans to watch the big game, and what foods and drinks do you plan on downing while watching?

What professional doesn't spend $500 per year on out of pocket expenses related to their jobs?Read More Staples offering 10% (or 5 in some cases) is hardly an example of the community getting involved. Thankfully, there are other examples of the community and PTA's getting involved and providing needed services. Clarkstown and surrounding areas hardly have substantial unmet needs in their classroom, thankfully.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.

George, don't you have enough to do straightening out the affairs of Clarkstown. Overtime in theRead More Police Department is rampant and the Town Attorney is out of control. As Tom Nimick says, we need an outside auditor for that operation since taxpayers were abused with the hiring of a political operative Jay Savino who I understand is singing like a canary. Get on the right side George before the FBI comes a lookin" I hear that the Gromack war chest is the first place they are looking for clues. Do the right thing George or you will get trampled with the rest of them.

Congratulations, George. Now about your other responsibilities as a member of the Town Board withRead More primary oversight over budget and expenditures: Won't you be the one to propose the needed audit of the Office of Town Attorney? You know the problems exist - likely you know more about the problems than I do. It is sad to see you silent in the face of the abuse of patronage. When will we hear your voice on it?

The new format is attractive but it is hard to find the comments that go with stories.
