Dental Arts of Rockland Offer to Benefit JCC Scholarship Fund

Dr. Steve Blechman wants to give you a reason to smile.

And not just one. Because by brightening your smile, you can light up someone else's. Throughout January, Blechman will discount the cosmetic procedure to $200, a savings of more than $100. That amount, however, will be payable directly to JCC Rockland and will fund scholarships to make a variety of programs available to those who cannot afford them.

"It's a win-win situation," says Blechman, a longtime JCC supporter and past member of the board of directors. "The money goes directly to the JCC with the goal of making programs affordable to those who need assistance. And you get a direct benefit, too."

The $200 is payable directly to the JCC and is 100 percent tax deductible for those who schedule a daytime appointment with Blechman and his staff by calling 845-359-0407. It includes impressions of your teeth and a follow-up appointment with trays and whitening solution. The offer is good for the first 50 people who call Dental Arts of Rockland for an appointment and mention the JCC.

Last year, the JCC disbursed more than $75,000 in scholarships. These funds allowed teens to participate in the JCC Maccabi Games; older adults to attend senior programs; those who were unemployed to stay positive through attending fitness classes; and children to participate in summer camp.

Blechman's offer will go to strengthen the JCC’s scholarship fund so that the organization need not turn away anyone who wishes to participate, according to JCC Rockland CEO David Kirschtel.

"We want to make sure that anyone who wants to attend a program or belong to the JCC can do so," says Kirschtel. "Steve's generous offer helps us build our scholarship fund and allow us to be generous for those who have a need."

Blechman initially built his practice in Nanuet and in 2008 joined Dental Arts of Rockland in Orangeburg and he is the owner. He has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and has participated in continuing education for both cosmetic and periodontal care.
