Art for Kids’ Sake Art Auction

John Stanisci, professional illustrator for Marvel and DC Comics and recent Broadway star will attend Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland’s Art for Kids’ Sake Art Auction on Friday, December 13 at Crowne Plaza Suffern, 3 Executive Blvd, Suffern, NY 10901.

Mr.Stanisci has worked on characters such as Spider-man, The Hulk, Batman, Cat Woman, Superman and most recently on Batman Beyond. The trade paperback edition of Batman Beyond premiered at number one on the New York Times bestseller list for graphic novels. 

 

In addition to being an artist, John is also an actor who recently made his Broadway debut in “Irena's Vow” starring opposite 4 time Tony Nominee, Tovah Feldshuh. John has appeared in many plays, films, and TV shows. Most recent is the upcoming film “Expecting Mary”, where John co starred opposite Cybil Shepard, Linda Gray, Elliot Gould and others.

 

Mr. Stanisci will bring with him a display of original artwork from a variety of comic books.  He will be happy to personalize any pieces purchased by guests of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

 

The preview will be at 7 PM and the auction will start at 8 PM.  Hors d’oeuvres, light dinner, and dessert will be included with ticket purchase. The auction will also feature custom framed and matted works of art and include pieces from artists such as Kinkade, Picasso, Chagall, Dali, Boulanger, Neiman, Shaviko and more!

Tickets to the auction are $10 per person or $15 per couple. In addition to featuring art in all media and price ranges, there will also be a door prize, and a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will be used to help Big Brothers Big Sisters further its mission of providing professionally supported one-to-one mentoring, education and support services to “at-risk” children ages 7-18 from one-parent homes in our area.
