Who is PreserveRockland

In a few short days you will be voting in the MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF YOUR LIFETIME!  Before you vote,  we think it is important for you to know and understand about an opportunity that is much needed and has never been offered to the residents of Clarkstown before.  On your ballot, if you drop down to Row G, you will be afforded the opportunity to vote for four highly qualified and principled candidates on a line which is called PRESERVEROCKLAND.

The people that have provided you with PRESERVEROCKLAND are average citizens just like yourself.  Indeed, PRESERVEROCKLAND is "THE PEOPLE'S LINE".  We are concerned with the crushing tax rates which are being imposed by both the county as well as Clarkstown ( FYI- the Rockland Legislature just voted to increase your county taxes by 9.9 percent and Clarkstown just placed a public notice in the Journal News stating that on Nov. 7th, they will propose to override the state-mandated two percent tax cap.  They have not disclosed how high they will be raising your taxes, but there have been rumblings that it may be as high as five percent.)

Another hot button topic which concerns us as well as many other people, is the ongoing uncertainty in the Town of Ramapo as well as the East Ramapo School District.  To say that the mass-public of Ramapo citizens have been grossly mistreated is the understatement of the year.  Go onto google.com and type in the title Peggy Hatton vs. Chris Kirby, then shake your head in disgust.

We have realized that massive change needs to be undertaken to right the Rockland and Clarkstown ship.  Several of these elections are going to be razor-thin.  Namely the Ed Day for County Executive and Dennis Malone for Highway Superintendent elections.  In the past, these two candidates wouldn't have had a competitive chance to win based on the fact that they are only supported on two election lines.

However, as stated before, there is a political "uprising" in the air.  Legislator Frank Sparaco and current Highway Superintendent Wayne Ballard have again been feverishly submitting absentee ballot applications to the Rockland County Board of Elections.  This has been disclosed to the public in the past but I will emphasize it once again.

There are clear and written requirements which a voter must satisfy in order to qualify for absentee voting.  Legislator Sparaco conducts his "absentee ballot drives" by conveying to unwary voters that the privilege is meant to be used as a tool of convenience (his famous quote is to "vote from the comfort of your own home").  He is on record as saying that if you "think" that you may be out of the county on election day, then you qualify for an absentee ballot application.  His "absentee ballot" drive is so demanding, that about one half dozen Highway employees have told me that neither him, nor his boss Wayne Ballard have been seen at the Highway Department for between one to two months.  That is about $235k in salary whose whereabouts are unknown.  The only thing that is known is that many hundreds of absentee ballots have been picked up by "absentee ballot captains" Wayne Ballard, Frank Sparaco and a handful of Highway Department employees.

On Frank Sparaco's Facebook page, he comments about those who deem this election strategy as illegal, immoral and exceptionally unethical, especially for a sitting Rockland County Legislator.  Mr. Sparaco refers to dissents of this bankrupt tactic as committing "Voter suppression tactics the likes of which haven't been seen since the KKK in Mississippi."

Lets drop back down to forty thousand feet Frank!  The core platform positions for PreserveRockland's Dennis Malone are that if elected, he will immediately terminate Mr. Sparaco and his "job position" in its entirety.  Mr. Malone also promises to conduct a five year financial audit to ensure that the "Highway Department Follies" do not continue in the future.

The most important race on November 5th, will be the one for County Executive.  PreserveRockland has Ed Day as its candidate.  We strongly suggest that you go onto Ed's web page, electday.com, to get a very informed semblance of what Ed is going to provide to his constituents if elected.  Ed has already proposed massive "agenda items" which have been heavily covered by the media.

Two important platforms are his " ten-point overdevelopment plan " as well as his "ten-point economic plan".  Please thoroughly read both of these presentations as this will define who we are as Rocklanders in the future if we elect Ed Day.  As a side note, I have been to three Ed Day-David Fried debates and the only information that I can provide about Mr. Fried is that he stands on the pro-choice side of Roe v. Wade and he is strongly in favor of gay marriage.  I know this because he voluntarily brings up these topics every time he can.  He also has it highlighted on his campaign web page.  The PreserveRockland position on both of these topics is this; these are not topics that we want our Executive championing for on either end of the spectrum.  The County Executive has no power to effect any policy one way or another on these two topics.  In essence Mr. Fried, stop talking about it!

We need a County Executive that is going to be entrenched in what his job description truly is.  We need a true PROBLEM SOLVER.   We need Ed Day!

In closing, I would like to add that it has been comforting to drive through Clarkstown and see all of the Ed Day and Dennis Malone signs (at least the ones that haven't been vandalized or stolen) that have adorned many people's lawns.  There have been many people coming up to me and telling me that they are voting PRESERVEROCKLAND!  This is great news, but we must caution this- YOU MUST GO OUT ON ELECTION DAY AND VOTE!!!  This means taking everyone in your household who is of legal voting age.  Nothing can be taken for granted.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO VOTE!  If PRESERVEROCKLAND can turn in a strong number on November 5th, it will be an extremely motivating factor in determining if we will ever do this again for the people of Clarkstown.

Just remember, the political establishment has huffed and puffed, but on November 5th, PreserveRockland will blow their doors down!  PRESERVEROCKLAND has been trial-tested and court-approved (obviously only because the establishment tried to disqualify us from being on the ballot).

Please make sure to go to polls on November 5th and vote PRESERVEROCKLAND.  PRESERVEROCKLAND will be on row G ( bottom of the ballot ).

The PRESERVEROCKLAND candidates will be Ed Day for Rockland County Executive, Brian Moran for Clarkstown Supervisor (this is the only candidate running against Alex Gromack), John Noto for Clarkstown Town Council and Dennis Malone for Highway Superintendent.  If you just vote on this line then your duty is done.

Winston Churchill once commented: "You have enemies? GOOD.  That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life."  Make November 5th your time to stand up!  Vote PRESERVEROCKLAND.

NOTE:  Please share and forward this content to anyone and everyone that lives in Clarkstown and Rockland.
