Statement by Senator David Carlucci Regarding the Creation of the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption in New York

"New York State deserves a government that is honest and accountable to the people it serves.  There is no question that we need sweeping change to a political system that has been tarnished by corruption for far too long.  The Moreland Commission is a step in the right direction, and I am hopeful that this will bring about broad recommendations that we can implement to reform our system."
