The works of local writers and artists were featured Saturday in the Historical Society of Rockland County's first Rockland Authors and Illustrators Book Fair in New City.
The event, a fundraiser for the historical society, included visits by Rockland County writers and artists and their books and CDs were available for sale — with part of the proceeds benefitting the society.
Included in the event were:
— Rockland's new county historian Craig Long.
— Children's book authors and illustrators Elizabeth Sayles and Barbara Soloff Levy
— Journalist and retired editorial writer Arthur H. Gunther III.
— Songwriter John Forster.
— E-book writer Frank Vitale.
