Prepare for a slow morning commute with Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight until 4 p.m. Wednesday

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Rockland County and the Lower Hudson Valley that includes snow, sleet and freezing rain.  The precipitation is expected to begin around midnight and continue through Wednesday morning.

Leave extra time for a slow morning trip with snow and sleet accumulations of two to five inches possible along with a coating of ice. Temperatures in the 20s are expected.

The snow and sleet are forecast to change to rain by early afternoon.
