Clarkstown Election 2013: Gromack Wins Handily

UPDATE 12:44AM: Town Supervisor Alex Gromack won another term handily with 72 percent of the vote.

In the race for Superintendent of Highways, Wayne Ballard held a 200-vote lead over Dennis J. Malone with 100 percent of the districts reporting.

UPDATE 11:12PM: More than 300 Democrats are gathered at Casa Mia in Blauvelt watching the results come in. Among them are U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey, state Senator David Carlucci, state Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee, and county Legislator Harriet Cornell.

UPDATE 11PM: With 52 percent of districts reporting, in the election for Clarkstown Superintendent of Highways, Dennis J. Malone had 4,715 votes and Wayne T. Ballard had 4,599.

UPDATE 10:24PM: With 22 percent of districts reporting, in the election for Clarkstown Town Supervisor, Alexander J. Gromack had 2,527 votes;  Brian T. Moran 916.

The Clarkstown Town Council race early numbers: Stephanie G. Hausner, 2,149; Robert L. Pitkofsky,  1,590; John J. Noto, Jr., 1,623; and George A. Hoehmann 1,964 votes.
