Ramapo Town Justice Announces Re-election Bid

The following is a political announcement:

Ramapo Town Justice David J. Stein today announced that he is running for re-election to the four-year post in the November, 2014 election. Stein, a Democrat, was first elected as a Ramapo Town Justice four years ago.

Judge Stein, who came to the Town of Ramapo in 1956, has several decades of service to the Ramapo community. He has served in a wide array of communal and civic organizations, including Meals-On-Wheels, the NAACP, Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce, as a youth soccer and baseball coach, and as a business instructor at Rockland Community College.

In addition to his judicial service, Judge Stein has extensive legal experience as well. A practicing attorney for over 37 years, Stein has also served in the Rockland County Public Defender’s Office, as a prosecutor in Rockland County, and as a Police Commissioner in the Town of Ramapo. Judge Stein is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Rockland County Bar Association, and the Rockland County Magistrates’ Association.

“I am seeking re-election as a Ramapo Town Justice so that I can continue dispensing justice in a fair and equitable manner and keep ensuring that the people who appear before me are treated with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and dignity,” said Judge Stein. “I have a proven track record of success in my public service endeavors and communal work, and my vision, experience, and integrity leave me well-suited to continue serving all Ramapo residents.”

“As a long-time resident of the Town of Ramapo, it is here that I chose to raise my family, and it is this community that I am proud to call my home,” continued Judge Stein. “It has been a tremendous honor and a great privilege serving as a Ramapo Town Justice, and I look forward to continue acting in that capacity and working to enhance our community for many years to come.”
