.  Dr. James Kane presents a fast paced one hour
slide and music of the era program about a waif from the mean streets of
Baltimore who was considered an incorrigible as boy.  He was not well educated yet George Herman
“Babe” Ruth would soon become America’s greatest hero - and her greatest
baseball player. An icon of the 1920ss, beloved by all and bigger than life, he
used his fame and incomparable skills to boast American morale during the Great
Depression.  His death on August 16, 1948
plunged America into grief.  7:00pm
