Earth Day 2014: Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour comes to Suffern
Only 18 minutes from New City is one of the most beautiful theaters in the entire country; a beautiful location to enjoy this years Earth Day Film Festivals. Community groups from across Rockland, Bergen and Orange Counties are coming together to promote an Earth Day film festival that is suitable for the whole family (although probably not great for preschoolers)
This year’s films combine stellar film making, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see Award winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, and agriculture.
The Wild and Scenic Film Festival will not only take audiences to some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet, but introduce them to the magnificent animals that inhabit these places and the courageous individuals who are working to protect and preserve both for future generations. The films instill a deep appreciation and a sense of wonder for the natural world that surrounds and supports us.

The Suffern showing will include 12 short films making it acceptable to come late or leave early if necessary but you will want to try to come for the entire showing. The showing benefits local community environmental charitable and activist organizations.
